Single Sign-on across applications

Organizations have over time implemented a range of web applications aimed at external users.  For efficiency reasons or simply to stay attractive as a smooth collaborator, they need to provide Web SSO across all those applications.

At the same time the bigger business partners - in an effort to streamline and control their own identity management - want to gain SSO all the way from their desktops.
